Walrus Oil Care Kit 

     Always keep your cutting boards and charcuterie boards looking new. Regular care with the Walrus Oil kit will do just that. Easy application lets your boards look new in minutes.

     Walrus Oil is what we use for all of our charcuterie and cutting boards when it comes to oil. When it comes to wax, we use Walrus Oil on all butcher block (edge grain) and end grain cutting boards.

For charcuterie boards, we wax with Elderberry Marsh Wood Wax.

    Walrus Oil care kits are here for your butcher block (edge grain) and end grain cutting boards. These kits contain: 

(1) 2 oz bottle of cutting board oil

(1) 0.75 oz can of wood wax

Walrus Oil is a proprietary wood finish recipe made up of Coconut Oil, Mineral Oil, Vitamin E, and Beeswax, FDA compliant for food contact surfaces such as cutting boards and butcher blocks. Walrus Oil is a liquid form and does not solidify under normal conditions, its highly shelf stable and has virtually no scent. It goes on smooth, not too thick and not to thin, and won't contaminate food with a strange taste. It will leave your board with a silky smooth finish, rich color, and a little shine. Use two coats for more depth and color.

Our Wood Wax is very dense and a pinch goes a long way. Handcrafted with Beeswax, Coconut Oil, and Vitamin E. It can be used as a standalone product or after applying a layer of our Cutting Board Oil. Wood Wax will add extra protection from water and moisture while bringing out more vivid wood color and shine. Simply apply a thin layer of wax, dry for 15 minutes, then buff with a rag.

All boards/items that may or are intended to come in contact with food will be finished with food grade oils and or epoxy for protection and longevity. Even though epoxy is "food safe" when cured, we DO NOT recommend cutting into epoxy of any kind.

All boards that come in contact with food will require cleaning and conditioning to preserve the wood and lengthen the useful life.
